Members Credit Union (MCU) converted to a new core processing system called  XP2 on October 1st. One of the changes that took place effected the way VISA Debit Cards authorized transactions. During the first few weeks after the conversion, VISA Debit Cards would only approve the transaction if there were enough funds in the Checking Account to cover the transaction amount without considering the balance of the available Overdraft Account.

As of Tuesday, October 30 at 3:30 p.m., VISA Debit authorizations are now including your Overdraft Line of Credit Account. This means that VISA Debit Card transactions will be approved when there is enough money in the Checking Account and Overdraft Line of Credit Account that is linked to Checking. Members will no longer need to log on to MCU@Home and transfer funds from their Overdraft Account(s) to their Checking Account in order to use the overdraft funds.
