It’s time again for the 2019 Peace, Love, Walk and Family Fest!
This is an exciting year as we have expanded the existing walk to include the Family Fest feature of the event. For the past two years, the Peace, Love and Walk has been a huge success in the Hope Mills area! We are excited to add Family Fest to this year’s event to make this a full family experience!
Peace, Love, Walk and Family Fest is a fundraiser for the ALMS HOUSE of Hope Mills. The ALMS HOUSE works hard in the Cumberland County of North Carolina fighting against poverty and hunger. Each week they serve approximately 100 lunches and 75 dinner meals to those who may not have the funds to purchase food on their own. They also prepare nearly 800 bags of food for schools. Those bags are placed in the backpacks of children who are at risk for not having access to food on the weekends while they are not in school. In addition to the meals and KAP (Kids Assistance Program) they assist community members with supplemental gift cards. The need is great in Cumberland County and the ALMS HOUSE strives each week to make a difference in their client’s lives!
We need your help! Peace, Love, Walk and Family Fest is the ALMS HOUSE only fundraiser each year. This fundraiser is vital to the success of this charity. There are many opportunities for you to get involved and help us raise money for this community!
Peace, Love, Walk and Family Fest will include: The 2019 Peace, Love and Walk, Live Entertainment, Food Trucks, Kids Carnival Area, Beer Garden, Vendors and More! All activities will take place on October 19 th, 2019 from 4pm to 8pm at Municipal Park in Hope Mills, NC.
