Becoming a member of Members Credit Union is one of the most intelligent financial decisions you can make. MCU has been helping families just like yours for over 50 years, and is always looking for new members to experience the Credit Union Difference. Membership eligibility can be obtained in a variety of different ways, you may join if:

  • You are an employee or retiree from a Sponsor Company (SEG).
  • You are a family member of any existing MCU member.
  • You live in a 25 mile radius of Hope Mills, NC.
  • You live, work, worship, or go to school in Surry, Wilkes, or Yadkin County
  • You live, work, worship, or go to school in Sampson or Duplin County.
  • You are a member of an affiliate association of MCU.

    Joining is Easy
    MCU makes joining our credit union as painless and convenient as possible. Those who are eligible for membership may bring a photo id, and:

  • Visit Any MCU Branch.
  • Contact your employer's HR Department (If employed by SEG).
  • Contact your employer's Sponsor Representative (If employed by SEG).
  • Call our Member Service Department at 800-951-8000, option 5.

    • Family Member Definition
    If you are a relative of a current MCU member, you are eligible to join. Family members are defined as spouses, parents, grandparents, children, grandchildren, brothers and sisters (including step relations).
